Observing a Montessori classroom is an experience a teacher will remember. In a Montessori classroom, all student's are individually working on a different material or worksheet. Each student rolls out their own mat to work and is mostly working independently. The classroom atmosphere is very focused. In my Kindergarten class of 20 students, half of the student's were working on 4 digit addition with carrying over and multiplying. The Montessori model and training produce's exceptional classroom management techniques and the literacy and numeracy results are stunning. After my second year of teaching Montessori, I felt grateful to have been taught how to teach this way early on in my career for the rest of my teaching years.
